The Change

The change is and has always been the thing that the female either welcomed or hated. As a young female it's the beginning of the period or as an older female the end of her period. My beginning came at nine years old and ended at 50. Yes! As soon as I turned 50 it stopped and never returned. The hot flashes were unbearable. I didn't want my boyfriend at the time to know because our relationship was new and I didn't know how he was going to handle it. Even though we were the same age. I had to wear darker clothes to try and camouflage the sweats. But it was even harder to hide sweat running down my face and ruining my makeup. OMG! Well now I'm 67 and dealing with controlling the hair growing on my face, I keep a pair of tweezers with me at all times, because the hair removal products don't work. Not to mention weight gain which is another whole story. I managed my sweats with cool showers and eucalyptus & mint body scrub it worked very well for me. Cold water by the bed and keeping witch hazel wipes (which I made myself) to pat my face. It helped me sooo much. What were your remedies?
